About the studio

A small crew that does the troweling itself

Venegas Plaster & Glaze is six people working from a shop on Stone Avenue. Ariadna leads the visits and the finishing; the people who trowel your wall are the people you met.

We work on old plaster over adobe and brick in the central neighborhoods, on newer drywall in the foothills, and on stucco walls outside. Every job starts with boards, because no one should find out how a finish looks on the wall itself.

How we work

Three habits that run through every job

  • Boards first

You see the finish in your light before any wall is touched.

  • Thin coats, dried between

We don't rush plaster. Each coat dries before the next one goes on.

  • Written down

The finish, coats, colors and what is not included are in the estimate.
